This summer we were lucky enough to get a sneak-peek at Schuberth's first modular dual-sport helmet, the E1. Now that the helmet has been publicly released at the AIM Expo in Florida, we can officially talk about it!
In simple terms, this helmet offers all of the benefits of the C3 Pro helmet model with added features essential for adventure riders such as adjustable peak visor and a filtered breather at the chin. The E1 can be worn with both the face shield and peak in place, or either piece may be removed for the ride. The E1 meets all the requirements of an off-road helmet while maintaining on-road quality as well.
The visor can be adjusted to three different positions independently from the face shield and chin bar. It is also easily removable when desired. The E1 also offers a large, closable, filtered air vent at the chin. The filter is removable and washable.
Some of the features carried over from the C3 Pro include:
The E1 also adapted the aerodynamics and aeroacoustics from the C3 Pro so it's designed to have practically no upward lift and minimal wind noise.
The E1 will retail for $829 for solid colors and $889 for graphics. It is due for release in early 2016. To ensure you are first in line to get one of these once they become available, place your pre-order here.
We are looking forward to testing this long-awaited helmet on the road. Stay tuned for our further review!
