In my desperate search for riding jeans that are not only protective but look good too, I’ve tried on what seems like every pair of jeans available on the market for women. Although we’ve been able to find motorcycle jeans that look good on most women, I have not been able to find a pair that fits my particular body type. I’m 5’4” and have a good amount of “junk in the trunk” so I have a hard time finding a pair of pants that doesn’t make my already somewhat big bottom look even bigger.
The Pando Moto Rosie Plain jeans in black are the first pair of jeans I’ve tried on that are actually flattering on my body. I also really like that they sit higher in the waste and don’t expose my lower back while I’m on the bike. I’ve worn the jeans for around 400 miles of riding now and they are extremely comfortable. In some ways, I’d say they are even more comfortable than wearing regular, not motorcycle specific jeans. There is a ton of stretch in the denim making it really easy to get on and off the bike as well as move around. One of my concerns about any riding jeans is that they are going to be too warm in hot weather but having worn the Rosie Plain jeans in over 100 degree heat this past weekend, I have to say the jeans didn’t seem overly warm at all. It was very tolerable.
Of course nothing is perfect so the jeans do have a few downsides. Again, this is a short person problem but they run pretty long so the knee armor was on my shin instead of my knee. My friend with a similar issue in her Pando Moto jeans had an alteration place relocate the knee armor pocket for her so it sits higher and it solved her issue. I am planning to do the same. Pando Moto Rosie Plain also run a bit big in the waist so I had to go down to size 26 from my regular size of 27. When standing upright, the material in the crotch area bunches up a bit, creating an illusion of a “bulge”. At this point, I’m nitpicking and I don’t think it’s something most people would ever notice, unless they are staring directly at your crotch that is.
Overall, I’m very happy with the jeans. Because the black version of these pants I got only have Kevlar and not the Cordura denim with Kevlar, I would only limit wearing these jeans on short trip city rides or casual cruises but otherwise great look, feel and protection.

As a matter of fact, I do know what I'm talking about.
