I still remember my first track day like it was yesterday. Although I’ve tagged along to the track numerous times before with my friends and family, I still didn’t really know what to expect or more importantly, what to bring with me. I frantically searched the internet for advice on what one would need at a track day and after reading several posts on the subject, I started to panic that my small pickup truck may not be big enough to haul everything I needed to bring. Not only that but I also didn’t own half of the things people of the interweb were suggesting to bring. Rather than stressing about it, I decided to just wing it and see how things go. To my surprise, I was totally fine without most of the equipment I was suggested to bring and the more track days I do, the less I bring with me every time. Packing and unpacking is my least favorite part about going to the track so I’ve minimized it to bare essentials. To each their own but here is my minimalist list of the bare essentials you’ll need for a track day:
BIKE / TRUCK
TOOLS
RIDING GEAR
PADDOCK
Just remember that there are a lot of people at the track and if you forgot something you needed, chances are you’ll be able to borrow it from a fellow track rider. So don’t stress, most people at the track are really friendly. Don’t overdo it on the packing, you’ll thank me when it takes you 20min to pack up after a tiring track day while your buddy who packed like he was racing for MotoAmerica is packing for 2.5 hours.

As a matter of fact, I do know what I'm talking about.
